Root Android 8.0 Oreo on Google Pixel / Nexus Devices

Once the Android launched its latest version the Android 8.0
Oreo last week, you would have upgraded your device. With this awesome new
feature packed OS, you might still want to Root the device.
I write this tutorial for Google Pixel and Nexus users, we found
out the best method to Root your Google Pixel/Nexus devices. Rooting is the great
way to increase an Android device performance. Before starting to Root your
Google Pixel/Nexus you should first unlock your device Bootloader.
BEFORE ROOTING
- Make a complete backup of entire Google Pixel/Nexus Device, to protect your data
- Charge your device at least up to 60%
- Enable USB Debugging mode
- You must install the device drivers for your Android device on the PC
Step by step guide to Root Google Pixel/Nexus
- Download and set up ADB/Fastboot (Android SDK Platform Tools separate package) into your PC. Remember to download and extract it anywhere else on your computer
- Download SuperSU on your PC
- Enable USB Debugging mode on your Google Pixel/Nexus
- Then connect your Google Pixel/Nexus into the PC using the Original USB cable
- Now copy the SuperSU file into your Google Pixel/Nexus. Make sure you copy the file into the device storage without adding it to a folder
- And then turn your device off
- Then download the latest TWRP Recovery and save it to your platform-tool directory on your PC.
- Turn on your device in fastboot mode
- (Press and hold Volume Down + Power keys for few seconds)
- Then on the Fastboot mode Navigate to platform-tool directory and open Command Prompt there
- Enter thhe below command and press Enter
- fastboot flash recovery *TWRP FILENAME*.img
- Once completed, select RECOVERY from Fastboot menu and get into Recovery Mode
- Now in TWRP Recovery tap install and then locate SuperSU file
- And then swipe to Confirm then it will flash on your Device
- Once you confirm the installation then the installation procedure should start now
- Once the installation is completed just reboot your Google Pixel/Nexus by the taping the Reboot icon
- Finally, the device will take about 5 minutes to reboot for the first time.
That’s it, you have now done rooting your Google Pixel/Nexus
device successfully. Check for the SuperSU app in your app drawer to verify
that you are rooted.

Now you can enjoy the root permissions with Android Oreo on
